Answers Week # 1:

1). Explain, “the mind is a battlefield.”

There is a war going on in our mind with our thoughts, evil thought with good thoughts.

2). Name some of the emotions that comes with this battle in the mind.

These evil thoughts bring on worry, doubt, confusion, depression, anger, and feelings of condemnation. Good thoughts helps us to fight off the evil thoughts. This is where the Word of God goes to work!

3). Look up the word stronghold and explain.

A stronghold of the mind is a lie that Satan has established in our thinking that we count as true but is actually a false belief. When we embrace these lies, they affect our attitudes, emotions, and behaviors.

4). Read Philippians 2:5, Isaiah 26:3, I Corinthians 2:16.

I have read these scriptures!

5). How can we train our minds to think positive?

We train our minds to be positive by reading, meditating, and studying the Word of God. We must get the Word in our hearts and mind.

6). Have you ever taken an inventory of your thinking? Explain.

Yes, this is why God led me to study this topic now. The enemy constantly give me negative thoughts, and I took an inventory and did not like my own thinking, so I asked God to help me, and that is by getting the Word in my mind daily.

7). We are told to put off the old nature and put on the new nature, how do we do this?

The answer is in Ephesians 4:23, “And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;” That’s why it’s so important that we learn how to think things on purpose and do as King David did “I will meditate on Your precepts and have respect to Your ways [the paths of life marked out by Your law]. Psalm 119:15”

8). Read Psalm 119:15-16.

I have read this scripture!

9). What is walking in/by the Spirit?

Walking by the Spirit means looking to Jesus for our direction. It is a daily journey of asking ourselves, “What does the Lord want me to do today? What will honor and please him?” It involves examining our lives and if we recognize the works of the flesh within us, we repent and ask for the Spirit’s help.

10). Read John 3:1-2, II Corinthians 5:17, John 3:4-6, Colossians 3:9-16.

I have read these scriptures!

11). What is the divine origin of our nature when we have the righteousness of God?

We are renewed in our hearts, raised from spiritual death, and strengthened and renewed by the Holy Spirit.

12). Read again the Scripture references.

I have read these scriptures!

13). What is a satanic attack?

It’s a deliberate, willful assault by Satan upon an individual for the purpose of doing harm in the spirit, soul, or body, or all three.

14). What are Satan’s objectives?

To draw us away from God to thwart God’s purposes for our lives, and to deny God the worship and glory He deserves. He also wants to destroy us.

15). What are Satan’s strategies?

His strategy is to deceive, divide, and destroy us, so we want worship God. This is Satan’s ultimate purpose—to destroy our testimonies, lives, finances, marriages, and families by deceiving and dividing us.

16). What is our greatest defense against the devils?

God’s Word is our greatest defense against the devil. It helps us discern the truth, and His promises provide the faith and strength we need to resist temptations. However, if we keep our Bible closed, or open it only once a week on Sundays, we have lost our defense and will become victims of the schemes of the devil.
