4). Let’s Read (John 1:1-5).

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.”

5). What is the light of men?

The light of man is his spirit within him, which is the life of God in him. God breath His very breathe in man when He created man. (Genesis 2:7) “And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.”

“And if it seems evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

8). Can you choose to believe something? Yes, we can! We must make sure we choose to believe in God. (Joshua 24:15).

9). What is truth?

Truth is light, and the Bible says that the darkness has never overpowered the light, and it never will. Think about it, meditate on it, and hold on to the truth of God’s Word. It is the most effective weapon we have.

10). Choosing spiritual life may mean what?

We must make sure that we be careful spiritually in what we choose, because we can choose to believe God or Satan’s lies.

11). Let’s Read (Deuteronomy 30:19).

“I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore, choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:”

12). What does it mean to be led by the Holy Spirit?

Being led by the Spirit is a very practical part of living the Christian life. To be led by the Holy Spirit just means to be obedient to Him and His Word continuously.

13). Name some work the Holy Spirit does.

He is our Comforter, Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener and Standby, and He teaches us and guides us into truth. He even brings the things we learn back to our remembrance as we need it.

14). What is the inner man?

(Romans 8:11) tells us that the inner man is our spirit that has been born-again by the Holy Spirit that dwells in us.

15). Let’s Read (Romans 8:11).

“But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.”

“And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh. This is where we are born-again by God’s Holy Spirit He send after Jesus’ resurrection from the dead. We are new creatures in Christ Jesus our Lord. (2 Corinthians 5:17) Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

18). Are you walking in God’s plan for your life?

I believe with all my heart that I am walking in God’s plan now. Its things that are happening in my life that helps me to believe this in my heart.

19). Let’s Read (Psalm 16:11, 32:8; Proverbs 3:5-6).

Psalm 16:11 “Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.”

(Psalm 32:8). “I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go and I will guide thee with mine eye.”

(Proverbs 3:5-6) “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”

20). Read the devotion and answer the following questions.

21). Read (Colossians 1:9-12) and explain it as much as you can.

“9 For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God.

11 Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; 12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:” Spiritual growth means growing to know how God wants us to live so that we seek to please Him in all things. Paul’s prayer that the Colossians would be filled with the knowledge of God’s will does not mean that he wants them to know whether they should take a different job offer or marry a particular person. Rather, he’s asking that they might know God’s moral will as revealed in His Word. “Being filled” with this knowledge is a prayer that they would be controlled by this knowledge so that it would govern every thought, word, and deed. Since God’s moral will reflects His holy character, Paul’s prayer is that these new believers would grow to know God Himself as He has revealed Himself in His Word.

22). What hinders us from discovering and doing God’s will?

I believe it’s self-Will, influence of Others, ignorance of the Word of God, doubt, feelings of unworthiness, fear, willful and known Sin.

23). What are the three aspects of God’s plan?

His predestined will, His moral will, and His desired will.

24). Why should we seek to obey God’s will?

I believe we seek to obey God’s will because we are His children, and we seek His will because we will stand before the judgment seat of Christ to give an account of our lives. All of us who claim Jesus as Savior and hold to God’s Word are under the spiritual law of Christ who lives within us. AMEN.

25). Are you willing to submit to Christ and begin living in the fullness of His good and perfect will for you? Yes, I do!

26). Is the mess you have made of your life keeping you from believing that the Lord can forgive and transform you if you will repent and turn to Him in faith? That was me a long time ago, but not now!

27). What have you learned in this lesson?

WOW!!! I love this study! I have learned much more, and to remember that it is a day-by-day life, even when trusting Jesus through the Holy Spirit. This is God’s plan for our life, and for us to walk in the Spirit of God. As (Proverbs 3:5) says, “Trust the Lord with all my heart, and lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge Him in all my ways, and He, through the Holy Spirit will direct our path, amen. HOPE make not ashamed to them who walk after the Spirit. I have learned to choose to believe in God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit, and trust them to be with me always, even when it looks bad. My experience that I have had the last month has helped me to trust God more. I’ve seen this lesson come alive in my life and my family’s life. I walk in the Spirit to stay connected to God’s plan for my life. No matter what!
